What we collect
The details you type into the quote form or send us by WhatsApp, email or phone: your name and phone number, and if you choose, your company, email address, site location, floor area and a description of the job. If you use the chat assistant, also the messages you type into it. To count visits, which pages of this website are opened, the website you came from, your type of device and how long a page stayed open, with a random visitor number.
How it reaches us
When you press send on the quote form, your details are saved for us so that no request is missed, and WhatsApp or your email app opens with your details filled in so you can send them to Ryan as well. DoubleDown AI (doubledownai.co.za) keeps the saved requests for us.
The chat assistant on this website is an AI assistant run for us by DoubleDown AI (doubledownai.co.za). What you type into it is stored, with any contact details you give it, so that we can answer you and follow up.
Why we use it
To reply to you, visit your site, prepare a quote and do the work you ask for.
Sharing
We do not sell your details. We share them only when it is needed to do your job or when the law requires it. DoubleDown AI processes the chat messages, the saved quote requests and the visit counts for us.
How long we keep it
For as long as we need it for your quote or job, and for the records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Contact Ryan using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Regulator.
Cookies and visit counting
This website sets no cookies. To count visits it keeps a random visitor number in your browser's storage and sends the page you open, the website you came from, your type of device and how long the page stayed open. It does not record your IP address or your name for this, and it counts nothing when your browser asks websites not to track you (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control).
The chat assistant uses your browser's storage only for its own random visitor number and to remember that it has already greeted you.
